During our first visit to the Woodmere Art Museum, we looked at lots of art and started to understand the important parts of a painting, sketch, or sculpture.  We even started to write a presentation on a piece of art that we chose!

To practice looking at art and writing about it,  here’s a work by the famous artist MC Escher.  I want you to look closely. Choose one part of the drawing that is interesting to you.  Write about why it is interesting, and try to include some art words if you can.  Good Luck

The part that I think is interesting is the ball becuse it looks like is another painting in the ball. The painting inside the ball looks like a man in a chair looking at you.Behind him there are paintings and a book shelf. then i looks like a regular livig room.

I think this picture is cool because a man is holding a glass ball and the the ball has of a reflection of a man. I think it is a mirror to him because he is looking right at it.

The part that I think is intresting is the ball because the ball is really cool. That the Author is trying to tell you a story. I think he’s sad because the guy in the reflection died or he’s visit ing some friend
of his parents but he’s not so thrilled on going.
