Former Secretary of State Colin Powell once said “Sometimes you must pass failure on the way to success.”
Can you think of a time when you failed at something before you were able to get it?

When I was riding my bike and I fell off onto concrete and got a cut, so I went home and put a bandage on it and stuff, but then I went and rode my bike and I could ride it, and I’ve never really fell down since that! I think that is a good example of passing failure on the way to success.

It happened ot me one time when I wanted to try to hit the ball over the fence at one of my baseball games. It took me about two years to untill I finally did. so thats one time I failed at somthing before I was able to get it.

Soccer. I tried and tried, but I never got it right. Then I went up to my Uncle Ed( he used to play soccer when he was little) and he tough me. So… that’s what I wasn’t good at before I tried!

I was on the diving team for the OSC. Kate my diving coach told me to do a back dive. I could not do it I kept on trying but i never got it. So the season is over but I never got to go to a meet I was really sad. But I kept trying to do it by joining SAC i now had a coach named Megan this is 6 months later I finally got a backdive done. So I finally got to go to a meet. But I needed 3 dives to go to champs. I got a back flip I went to champs and finished 4th, it may not be first but It is not last , and atleast I got to go.

I failed in doing a dive off of a diving board. The first time I tried a dive i fell in the water but i did a belly flop and did hurt so i didn’t try to do a dive in 5 days!!!!!!! On the 6th day i fell in by accident and dove so i kept on trying that for the whole day and at the end of the day i dove off of the diving board for the first time.
